|Sanilac County, Michigan - cougar sighting.
Reported Sun, May 1, 2011 at 3:15 PM to www.savethecougar.org
Date of Observation: 1st Week of April
Location Description: Field behind the apartment building; there were 3 of us (all women) on the 1st week in April. Last Night April 30th, it was spotted again by two other people from the apartment building at dusk. They were as shocked as the 3 of us.
When the three of us saw it in the first week of April, it was walking from the East (woods) to the fence row to the North, we were all shocked and amazed, it was huge and beautiful and the tail seemed as long as the body. The cat was not in a hurry, as we were trying to be quiet, but excited. Non of the other tenants believed us, as they did not see it! Then last night two other tenants at dusk saw this huge cat, beautiful and the tail was as big as the body and looked more muscular then a domestic cat would be. It was lying in a branch of a tree and came down from the tree and proceeded to walk back into the small woods. We have 7 to 9 Deer that we watch all winter and summer, so there would be plenty of food, as well as, rabbits and squirels.
