"I wanted to report I sighting I had this evening. No photos.
I was driving home from a friends in Buckley, MI about 8:30 this evening.
I was driving eastbound on Zue Road (south of Buckley) about a 1/4 mile or so west of County Road 633. About 30 yards off the road I witnessed what at first I thought was a german shepard slinking along the edge of a crop field. I turned around and pulled off and watched it go about 50 more yards before it ducked into the tall grass at the edge of the field.
It was probably in the neighborhood of 100 or so pounds. It had a black head and black tail with the rest of the body being a dark golden brown.
The tail is what was the most distinctive sign that it was a cat, the tail being abot 3 feet long and 3" or so in diameter.
The other sign is the way it walked it looked like an oversize cat confidently walking. I would best describe it as looking like a giant siamese cat.
I am an outdoorsman and am sure it was not a coyote, etc.
For what it is worth.
Sincerely,
R.K."
